We are excited to announce that Greater Newark Conservancy and Trust for Public Land will host Newark's first school garden tour showcasing school garden programs thriving here in Newark, New Jersey! The Newark Grows School Gardens Tour on Friday, June 7th invites schools to show off their garden programs and share information and best practices while building connections with other school garden advocates and supporters.

As the Newark Network of School Gardens continues to grow, we want to ensure school garden programs are collaborating and learning from each other's successes and failures as we all strive to build a greener, healthier Newark. The tour will serve as an opportunity to see how other schools are running their school garden programs and. Whether it's seeing a successful drip-irrigation system or educators working with students of all abilities in the garden, all schools have something special to share that you can bring back for your school garden program.
